Nikolai Istommin, a quantum physicist in 1950s America, leaves his wife and kid behind to work on a secluded island. This Hawaiian Island is owned by Muneral Inc., where Nikolai continues his work on the Quantum Displacement Machine. After being ratted out during the Red Scare for having Russian blood, Nikolai leaves Muneral Inc. to join the Soviet Union's competitor... Monoteral Inc.

A century later, Madison in 2050 is trying her best to keep Muneral Inc. afloat while Colony Corp. attempts to buy out Muneral Inc. in an attempt to finalize Colony Corp.'s monopolization of the world.
